Golf de Ibiza I

Golf de Ibiza I opened in 1992 as the Ibiza Golf Club, twenty years after the island's original nine-hole Roca Llisa course, and the two now operate together as Golf Ibiza. Set in the rugged heart of a valley near Santa Eulalia, just 7km from Ibiza Town, it remains the more technical of the resort's two layouts.

Narrow lanes wind through pine forest and a mix of natural and artificial hazards, asking for precision over power on greens that are consistently rated among the trickiest in the Balearics. A genuine rarity among the islands' courses: each of the 18 holes carries its own name, taken from the geographic or aesthetic feature that defines it, a tradition that gives the round a real sense of place as it moves through the valley.
