Saurines is an 18 hole, par 72, desert-style golf course but with a links philosophy, is designed by Jack Nicklaus. It is designed with influences of the Nicklaus golf course in Lake, Las Vegas. Its main characteristics are undulating fairways and greens among desert dunes, few bunkers and a great 6 hectare lake. Holes 9 and 18 go around the lake, which guarantees an exciting final.
It measures a maximum of 6,498 metres. For long hitters, the par 5 holes are reachable in two, being under 480 metres, but you will have to be accurate as there are hazards left and right of the greens. The three par 3 holes are either long with two over 182 metres in length and although the 6th is short at 126 metres, the shot is played over water to a narrow green.
Saurines golf course is a great addition to the golf courses in this area and is well worth a visit.

I loved this beautiful desert style course. Fairways allow your drive to roll an extra 20 to 30 yards so not hard to hit bombs if you hit them straight. Greens are quick but true and land soft enough that they don’t roll off if you have some loft. Some sand but not too much and they have nice soft sand so not too hard to get out of the bunkers.

The first thing I’d like to say is when we arrived at the shop the girl said we didn’t have a booking, I showed her the confirmation email from you but still no joy however a phone call to tee time pt and all sorted. Saurines is a very good golf course. Tees 10, fairways 9 nice firm which might not suit everyone, greens not as good as last year 7.

Great desert golf course. Great layout. Tees were perfect. Fairways are like links golf which i like. Greens were not at there best as there was new grass coming through, they will be very good once the new grass knits in. Well worth a visit.

This was our third time playing this course & we felt that the greens were not in very good condition compared to previous visits. The shop & staff were all v helpful & it is an interesting course but we might wait a bit until we come back again
