Mijas Golf International offers two 18 holes golf courses: Los Lagos and Los Olivos. These particularly flat courses are one of the most visited on the Costa del Sol in Spain. Mijas Golf is located at the Costa del Sol 4 kilometres of the N340 towards Alhaurin el Grande close to Fuengirola. The Los Lagos golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, was founded in 1976. Although the wide fairways and light rough provide this course a friendly character at first sight, one should be aware of the large bunkers and multiple water hazards formed by eight lakes! The par five 5th hole, 564 m, is one of the longest holes at the Costa del Sol and Andalucía. The Los Olivos golf course, also designed by Robert Trent Jones, was inaugurated in 1984. This course is shorter than Los Lagos and water hazards are less in play. Nevertheless los Olivos is not easier to beat.
