Capdepera Golf Course

Capdepera Golf Course was designed by American architect Dan Maples and opened in 1989 in Mallorca's north-east, between the medieval town of Capdepera and the coast at Cala Ratjada. With no urbanisation attached to the course, it remains one of the more peaceful rounds on the island.

The front nine plays across a valley that was once an almond plantation, wide and largely flat with the odd dogleg wrapped around one of the course's six lakes. The back nine climbs into the Llevant hills for a tougher, more scenic finish, culminating in the par-3 15th: repeatedly voted the most beautiful hole on Mallorca by Mallorca Magazine, a downhill shot to a green ringed by water and bunkers with panoramic views out to sea. The par-4 5th, played from an elevated tee, is another coastal highlight earlier in the round.
