El Plantio Golf Course
El Plantío sits just minutes from Alicante and its airport, home to two distinct courses within the same well-tended grounds. Manuel Ferri designed the main 18-hole, par-72 layout, which opened in 1993, alongside a separate 9-hole, par-3 course that makes this one of the few venues in the region genuinely suited to every kind of golfer.
The championship course runs as two returning nine-hole loops, both finishing with a par 3 near the clubhouse, with water hazards adding real teeth at the 10th and 17th. Large, sloping greens and generous fairways sit among palm and cork trees, giving the course a settled, established feel without ever losing its bite. The par-3 course alongside it is a genuine delight in its own right, ideal for a shorter session or for building confidence before tackling the main event.

The course was nice and so beautiful: the amount of flowers and plants were incredible. Only minus was that the tee times were booked too tight (8 min is too short)

The golf course was fantastic. However the facilities are not really set up for travelling golf societies in my opinion. We had suitcases with us as we were travelling to the airport after the round and the man on reception was less then helpful when we asked for somewhere to store the bags. Also there is a shower room but no towels so be aware if wanting a shower before your flight. There was an English guy there who was really helpful and in the end sorted us a place to store our cases and talked everything through with us. The restaurant and bar area is great, the burgers are amazing. Not a great start, but the golf and hospitality afterwards was great.
