The Rio Real golf course was designed by the legendary Javier Arana, considered to be the best Spanish designer of all time. Tee Times Golf Agency is delighted to offer special green fees and tee times for this spectacular golf course
Located in the most prestigious area of Marbella, just 5 minutes from the city centre, this golf course opened in 1965. The golf course runs alongside the Rio Real River, from which it takes its name, and forms an integral part of the course, right up until it reaches the Mediterranean Sea.
Its design makes it a spectacular golf course. With 18 holes (par 72) and more than 6,000 m in length, the Royal Spanish Golf Federation (Real Federación Española de Golf) considers it to be a prestigious golf course and one of the best in Spain, both for its layout, as well as it unique beauty. The golf course has a wide variety of different species of trees: Pine, Palm, Casuarinas, Olive, Cypress, etc. which make it the ideal place to play golf, both on foot and in golf buggies.
Thanks to its Mediterranean climate, one can play all year around, with seafront holes and spectacular views.
The Rio Real golf course is suitable for every player, thanks to its more elevated holes, which make them even more appealing as they require the use of various clubs.

Maintenance work ongoing but didn’t affect the overall experience. Buggy hire pricey at 60 euros

We were rushed to start more than 30 min before our ttime to beat an outing (I think its called tournament). Meaningless since it was shotgun, so we got held up a few holes later anyway. Good construction greens, but pretty abused. Ball marks not repaired. Course layout is basically flat with some elevated T-Boxes and greens. Requires shot making. Not our favorite-rushed start left a bad taste and the crowded conditions did not help.

The golf course is in good shape as always, but the service in the restaurant is bad. They have not enough buggies, so we could get ours only 10 min before Teetime.
