Roda Golf Course
Roda sits within easy reach of the Mar Menor near San Javier, a Dave Thomas design that opened in 2005 and became the first course in the Murcia region to earn ISO 14001 environmental certification. Lush, rolling fairways run between three large lakes, with palm trees and colourful planting giving the course a genuinely attractive look from the first tee.
Strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens keep the round honest without ever feeling unfair, and the flat terrain makes for comfortable walking throughout. Play was slow 5 1/2 hour round but there was someone trying to push them along.
