We loved Santa Maria Golf course. We were greeted cordially in the pro shop and the starter was very helpful. Some holes were quite challenging with long carries off the tee box, but for the most part the fairways were wide open and in good condition. Greens were a bit slow in the morning due to the evening rain. The rain made play cart path only, but pace of play was perfect. We never had to wait on a hole or felt rushed. A really nice touch was complimentary beverage coupons for the restaurant. The locker room was the nicest locker room I've seen with large, impeccably clean, modern facilities, multiple showers and large lockers. Several toilet facilities were well placed on the course, as well. The only negatives was that buggies did not have GPS, nor was there a map of the course, so we had to rely on the hole configuration sign for the hole layout and fairway markers for distances. Santa Maria is a beautiful course that we would play again.

Santa Maria is one of our favourite golf courses. The staff are welcoming and helpful, especially Pepe in the pro shop. The course is in good condition, beautiful undulating landscapes and views with a nice club house/restaurant , putting green and practice nets. Would certainly recommend.

Nice course, narrow holes, tactical plays required. Shame they have no driving range, nor a starting Marshall at hole 1 to guide players (and avoid unneeded discussions)

Great club. Accommodated a tee time change, friendly staff, good track (weather s.... but not their fault????)

Our booked starting tee time of 11.36 was altered to 11.44 when we checked in. We actually teed off at 12.10, causing us to need to rearrange the pick up transport as we hadn't all finished. The cause of this was apparently due to a block booking by a Monday golf society, and more than usual turned up. This caused a delayed tee off and a round of over 5 hours. There was no starter at the course. We shall not include this course again on future trips.

Way too many people on the course, we had a 5 hours and 40 minute round meaning we had to finish in the dark.
Not a great experience.
People were fine, course is ok, greens were not ok though.
Probably wouldn't play there again.

The golf reception staff and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. However the greens were in a very poor state, a lot worse than when we played there this time last year

Picturesque course but was let down by no marshals, 18 holes took 5 hours 20 minutes. We were waiting on every hole and every fairway. I was nearly killed by the players behind me being impatient, luckily I had just entered the buggy when it hit the roof.
