Arabella Son Vida Golf Course
Arabella Son Vida is Mallorca's oldest golf course, designed by F.W. Hawtree in 1964 and redesigned by Kurt Rossknecht in 2001. Set within the Son Vida estate above Palma, it has hosted European Tour events including the Balearic Open in 1990 and 1994, and is currently ranked among the top ten courses in the Balearic Islands.
Tree-lined fairways run through classic parkland, with the Bay of Palma and the Tramuntana mountains framing the round throughout. The par-5 6th is the hole players remember first, its tee offering a panorama that takes in Palma Cathedral and the bay below. The dogleg par-4 14th and the water-guarded par-5 18th close out the round as the course's two toughest tests, small lakes coming into play at several points along the way.
Facilities include a driving range, golf academy, locker rooms and a putting green. Book your round at the course where Mallorcan golf began, still one of the island's most complete tests six decades on.
